Doumbia 'touch and go' for Everton game

Newcastle United head coach Steve McClaren has said that deadline day signing Seydou Doumbia is ‘touch and go’ for tomorrow’s trip to Goodison Park, as the Ivorian awaits his work visa.

Doumbia moved to St James’ Park on a six-month loan deal from AS Roma with an option to buy at the end of the season, and the 29-year-old – who has a prolific goalscoring record in Russia and the UEFA Champions League – will be tasked with scoring the goals to fire Newcastle away from the relegation zone.
