Patrick Bamford - Chelsea

Bamford has promised so much for so long, and is still yet to deliver on the biggest stage. At 22, it really is getting to the stage of his career where he needs to be playing, and scoring, week in, week out.

His loan spell at Norwich was not a success as the club suffered the same fate as Newcastle United – relegation. However, in the 2014/2015 season in which Bamford played for Middlesbrough in the Championship, he scored 17 goals and assisted five, and also received the Championship Player Of The Year Award.

It is unlikely he will get his chance at Chelsea this year under new Italian manager Antonio Conte so he could be forced out on loan again.

However, with youngsters such as Mitrovic, Perez and Adam Armstrong already at the club, another youngster may not be ideal, and this could be a reason Rafa overlooks the talented English striker.
