One of the most talked about Championship fixtures in recent months is on the horizon; Burton Albion vs Newcastle United.

In a game described as “the biggest mismatch in the league” by Brewers boss Nigel Clough, United will look to make it three wins in a row and maintain their position at the summit of the division.

The rise of Burton Albion has been an undeniably amazing story. In 2002, the club were promoted to the fifth division of English football while Newcastle fought for European football in the upper echelons of the Premier League.

It was only in 2009 when they reached the Football League for the first ever time and since then, they have stunningly been promoted twice and now face the game of their lives.

St. James’ Park can hold approximately 45,000 more people than the Pirelli Stadium, Burton’s stomping ground, which holds 6,912 people.
