Brendan Galloway - Everton

Last season, Newcastle United needed a left back. Simple as that. With Haidara plagued by injuries and Dummett also suffering later on into the season, we were playing the likes of Jack Colback and Vurnon Anita in the full back positions. After the failed attempt to sign Brazilian left back Guilherme Siqueira from Atletico Madrid in January, it is important Newcastle make early efforts to bring in a left back. 20-year-old left back Brendan Galloway, currently playing at Everton, could be an ideal loan signing for Newcastle United.

With Ronald Koeman joining Everton, it is difficult to predict who will stay at the club , but with Leighton Baines and Bryan Oviedo seemingly above Galloway in the pecking order, a loan move could be perfect for him, and a club like Newcastle.

When injury struck for Oviedo and Baines earlier in the season, Galloway filled in, and looked more than capable of mixing it with the best.

Could he be just what Newcastle needed, even if he was to arrive and be used as a squad player?
